Manchester United are showing interest in Brentford goalkeeper David Raya.

United’s interest in Raya comes amid doubts about David de Gea’s suitability for Erik ten Hag’s system.

Although De Gea has shown improvement in recent games, there are still limitations in his game, so United are looking for another stopper.

De Gea is currently in talks with the Red Devils about a new deal to extend his stay at Old Trafford beyond the end of this season.

However, United’s number one will be on a significantly reduced salary.

The Telegraph reports that in order to get Paradise, United will need to surpass their Premier League rivals to the 27-year-old.

Chelsea and Tottenham also retain interest in the Brentford player.

Chelsea and Manchester United are interested in David Raya and are ready to compete with Tottenham in the fight for the Brentford goalkeeper this summer, Telegraph Sport understands.

Spurs are keeping a close eye on the 27-year-old as they prepare to sign a long-term successor to club captain Hugo Lloris.”

“However, Rai also has fans at Stamford Bridge and Old Trafford, and the Spaniard could find himself in the middle of a tug-of-war between England’s three biggest clubs.”

Raya has just eighteen months left on his contract at the Brentford Community Stadium.

Brentford have high hopes that he will leave at the end of the season. The London club doesn’t want to lose him for free next season. According to The Telegraph, its estimated cost is from 15 to 20 million pounds.

Raya is particularly good at passing the ball and kicking — the qualities of a goalkeeper that Ten Hag is fond of. During the last campaign, Jurgen Klopp famously remarked that Raya should have a 10 on his back for his exceptional kicking and passing.
