During the weekend, when Liverpool did not win at different levels, the under-15 team broke this trend by winning the Pape Cup in Germany.
It was just a weekend that could have been written off for the club after the defeats of men, women and the under-21 national team, but the tournament in Germany gave players under 15 a lot of reasons to rejoice.
The Reds were one of 20 teams that competed last weekend for the Pape Cup, the U15 indoor championship held in honor of Mathias Pape, a former player and coach.
Tottenham and Arsenal were represented at the tournament, as well as Bayer Leverkusen, Wolfsburg and Schalke, the latter of which Liverpool met in the final on Sunday.
Liverpool reached the final, finishing second in their group and defeating Arsenal 2-0 in the quarter-finals before defeating Hannover 5-3 in the semi-finals.
Then Schalke waited in the final game of the 20th Pape Cup, where Liverpool held back to win 4-2 and the crown.
