Courting shared a raucous cover of the Charli XCX and Icona Pop hit “I Love It”.
The track, which was originally released in 2012 and subsequently reached number one on the UK Singles chart, became one of the highlights of the Liverpool Four’s UK tour.
“This song accidentally became a staple of our previous tour, and we decided that we should record it,” the DIY band said about their live cover, which you can listen to below. “It’s silly, flashy, true and just a drop of water in the ocean of how much we adore Charli XCX. We are forever grateful for her artistry.”
Charli XCX previously called the hit “one of the most annoying songs in the world, but it’s pretty cool.”

She added: “I’ve played it to a couple of people, and they’re like: “Oh my God, it sounds like it’s going to be an Avicii-style moment!” and I’m like, “Yeah, but just wait.” ‘and then it doesn’t, and he does something totally awesome and cool. That’s what I like about them, they’re kind of on the line, and I sometimes feel the same way about myself.”
Courting released their debut album “Guitar Music” last September. In a four-star review, NME described it as “a raucously hilarious debut that serves all the aces.”
It adds: “Breaking the conventions of indie music, the Liverpool band has arrived with one of the most rewarding debut albums of the year.”
Meanwhile, Charli XCX recently joined The 1975 on their homecoming at the AO Arena in Manchester to perform the 2015 track “Vroom Vroom”.
She recently teamed up with George Daniel from The 1975 to remix Caroline Polacek’s new single “Welcome To My Island”.
