I fucking hated this year. For many reasons. My mom died, we all know that. But this is not the main reason. The story just wasn’t told as bilaterally as I would have liked. How about this?
Lisa Rinna lost her mother Lois in November 2021 when she passed away after suffering a stroke. Later Rinna spoke frankly about the struggle after losing her mother. As for the story, which she says wasn’t told “two-way,” she’s referring to her fight with co-star Kathy Hilton in Aspen. Rinna called Hilton “great” during her interview, but stated that, in her opinion, a “smear campaign” was launched against her after the outburst. But something happened in the Housewives universe because of what’s going on in the world, and it affected how fans react to the Housewives world. And I just think it’s unhealthy. It didn’t work for me. It was wrong for me.

Andy Cohen has seen many famous personalities during his time in the RH family. However, it is clear that he recognizes Lisa Rinna as one of the most popular figures in the franchise. Cohen addressed her departure during his Sirius XM show and acknowledged (via people) that it represented a “big reshuffle” for the show. The host of Watch What Happens Live also expressed the hope that this is just a “pause” for Rinna, and compared her situation with another graduate of “Real Housewives”:
I really hope this is a pause. I hope she comes back. I really. I’ve talked about it a lot with Tamra [the judge]. Tamra eventually told me, before coming back to it, she said, “You know what? The time spent away from the show helped me as a person.” And she said: “I think it was really nice to get away, get some air and retreat.” So I just hope Lisa will cheer us up and come back.
Andy Cohen also praised Lisa Rinna for staying on the show for eight years, which is certainly important. He clearly has high hopes that at some point she will return to the bosom. Although Rinna’s comments, filled with a fucking bomb, give the impression that she probably won’t be back anytime soon.
