It’s incomprehensible. The most important thing for me at this time is to take care of my daughters so that they always feel safe and loved. They both have an incredible spirit, and they will carry the legacy of our family for the rest of their lives. Since their birth, Harper and Finley have given me great joy, and I remain devoted to them. We ask for privacy at this incredibly difficult time.
Lisa Maria Presley and Michael Lockwood tied the knot back in 2006, and the former eventually filed for divorce in 2016. The breakup was eventually completed in 2021, and Presley—Elvis Presley’s only child—was granted custody of the children. After the death of Lisa Maria, it was decided that Lockwood would now have girls on a permanent basis. Sources tell TMZ that Harper and Finley are adamant about being with their father. It is reported that the two live with Lockwood after the death of their mother and are already getting used to the new situation.
This latest tidbit of news about the girls coincides with the information previously reported. It was alleged that both girls refused to return to their mother’s house after her death. Because of this, they reportedly stayed at the home of their maternal grandmother, Priscilla Presley, as they all coped with their grief.
This weekend Lisa Maria Presley will be buried at Graceland, where her father and late son Benjamin are also buried.
