NVIDIA: We’ve already talked a lot about how cool the GeForce NOW service is, so it’s great to hear that TV makers are starting to embrace the technology too! LG Electronics, for example, confirmed today (2) that it is working in partnership with NVIDIA to launch GeForce NOW’s first Smart TV app.
The idea is that the streaming service in the cloud will reach televisions equipped with webOS.1, which will make it possible to make the most of the image quality and the high refresh rate. If you want to know more about the service, we spoke exclusively with Alexandre Ziebert, NVIDIA’s technical marketing manager in Latin America:
Thanks to this partnership, you can start playing on your PC, iPad, iPhone, Android, macOS or Chrome OS, and then pick up your progress right where you left off on an LG television, or do the opposite if you prefer.
For now, the app will appear on the LG Content Store in a beta version compatible with the LG 4K OLED, QNED Mini LED and NanoCell 2021 TVs, supporting just over 35 games for now, including hits like Destiny 2, Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy and Rocket League., all running at up to 1080p and 60 fps.
