LG announced the new generation of NanoCell smart TVs in the North American market with 4k versions of 55 ’’ and 86 ’’, in addition to a 75k ’’ 8k model. The first two will cost $ 599 and $ 3,299, respectively; while the third will hit stores for $ 4,999. Everyone will have support for Apple’s content playback system, AirPlay 2, and the smart home management center HomeKit.
To enhance the experience with cinematographic productions, LG NanoCell 2020 smart TVs will support the main HDR formats, such as HDR10, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos and HLG.
They will also be equipped with technology to improve the display of sports competitions and games through Filmmaker Mode and HGiG, which promises advanced image rendering.
It is important to note that NanoCell technology is a kind of competitor to QLED, Samsung. Therefore, it comes with the proposal of exhibiting high levels of contrast and high definition of colors, from Artificial Intelligence and nanocrystals of only 1nm – the rival offers between 2 and 10 nm.
