Mark Skinner and Leah Galton from Manchester United were noted for their performances in the WSL in December.
In December, the Reds had just two league games; an Aston Villa match at Old Trafford, which they won 5-0, and a draw with City at the Etihad.
It was a double blow for the Reds that Mark Skinner was announced Manager of the month at Barclays in December, and Leah Galton was awarded the Player of the Month award.

Skinner gained recognition after United’s winless month, scoring six times and conceding only once in two matches.
This is not the first time Skinner has received the award this season, as he became manager of the month in October.
Skinner defeated stiff opposition with candidates such as Arsenal boss Jonas Eydevall and Chelsea’s Emma Hayes.
Meanwhile, Galton also shone, scoring a goal both in Manchester United’s match against Aston Villa at Old Trafford and in the subsequent derby with Manchester City.
She has been one of the Reds’ most stable players this season.
Galton overtook the candidates, including United teammate Ona Battle and goalkeeper Emily Ramsey, who is currently on loan at Everton.
United are in third place in all the important Champions League spots as they approach the second half of the season.
United’s next game will be against Liverpool on Sunday, January 15, when the League resumes after the winter break.
