This isn’t the first time a movie star has confessed to her skin problems.
In December 2020, Palmer announced on Instagram that she had been diagnosed with PCOS or polycystic ovary syndrome. The following year, during an appearance on the Tamron Hall Show in November 2021, she explained how the diagnosis affected her skin.
“I kind of discovered that this is what I was dealing with, and it answered a lot of questions not only about why I have acne, but also why I have hair growing on my face or under my chin, you know, I kind of have a low “Key beard that I have to shave every couple of days,” she told Tamron Hall about her symptoms.

Despite his difficulties, Palmer finds it useful to share his journey with others.
“It was done in order to expand your capabilities and give yourself the opportunity to say, “You know, you just recognize who you are.” It was like I was telling myself: “I love you, girl, no matter what. I love you so much that I will show you to the whole world and I will not be afraid,” she said in an interview. “In essence, it was like a selfish act: “Hey, I still love myself, despite what I may be going through, and if you’re going through something like that, I love you too.”
When she first shared her diagnosis, Palmer uploaded a series of makeup-free selfies showing off her natural skin.
“Hi guys, for some it may be TMI, but for me my platform has always been used for things much bigger than me. Polycystic ovary syndrome has been attacking me from the inside all my life, and I had no idea,” she captioned the post.
