After four years without a new album, Jason Derulo released “2Sides (Side 1)” on Friday (8). The disc, as the title indicates, is part of a dual project: the first part, with six tracks, was released today. The second part arrives in January 2020.

Initially, the idea of the singer was to release the album “777”, which would be the singles already released “Swalla”, “If I’m Lucky” and “Tip Toe”. The project would be divided into three, each part would have seven tracks and would be launched three months apart.

Last year Derulo changed his mind. The album earned the name “2Sides” from the tour the singer was performing. The tracks already released were not added to the project because, he said in an interview with Official Charts, “those songs have had their time. Even if I put them on the disk, it would be platinum in two seconds, not about numbers. These are new songs, new vibes. ”

The album features two collaborations: “Talk About Us” with Stefflon Don and “Best Friend” with Ty Dolla Sign.
