Actress Jamie Lee Curtis has been a public figure for decades, and her first big break came in John Carpenter’s original 1978 Halloween movie. And the first successes in her career still happen, as she recently received her first Oscar nomination for her role in the film “Everything and Everywhere at Once.” Apart from her talents, she is also known for her vibrant personality and excellent use of social media. Case in point: Curtis recalled the time when she went topless at 50 and people went crazy.
Jamie Lee Curtis has been talking about aging recently since she received her first Academy Award nod at the age of 64. She clearly has a great sense of self-worth, even if it’s been more than a decade since she posed topless for AARP. Curtis recently shared this on her Instagram, recalling how the public reacted to her exposing it all. Check it out below:

Once again, Jamie Lee Curtis is right and uses his platform for the cause. Recalling one of the occasions when she was on the cover of AARP magazine, she also talked about people’s attitudes to sexuality, especially to older people. Considering how little Curtis shows, it’s hard to imagine why people had such a hard time with this image.
Jamie Lee Curtis shared this topless photo with her 4.8 million Instagram followers. Even though the image was conservative about how much skin the Halloween icon showed, she reflected that at the time it mostly amazed people. Given the current age of celebrities attending OnlyFans, I have to wonder if the reaction would have been different if Curtis had posted the same image these days. Hey, hindsight is 20/20.
As mentioned earlier, JLC is having a small moment right now. It looks like it started with the frenzied success of Halloween 2018, which turned into a full-fledged horror trilogy. She also had a great role in Ryan Johnson’s Get Knives, and she went viral by appearing in The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. And all this time she has been very active on social networks, using her platform for purposes close to the heart of a living legend.
Seeing Jamie Lee Curtis posing topless like this doesn’t seem like such a compromise, especially considering all the wild states we saw her in during her Oscar-nominated performance in the movie “Everything Everywhere at Once.” We’ve seen her play various forms of IRS Inspector Gyorgy, including professional wrestler and hot dog lover Michelle Yeoh. After the craziness of this sensational film, seeing her bare shoulders and cleavage is much less revolutionary.
While it’s unclear whether Jamie Lee Curtis will receive an Oscar, she has several more interesting projects ahead. Namely, the Borderlands movie and the new Disney movie “Haunted Mansion”. In the meantime, check out the movie’s release dates in 2023 to plan your next movie.
