Doritos has enlisted hip-hop star Jack Harlow for its Super Bowl 2023 ad campaign.
The cost of advertising the Super Bowl has always been astronomical due to the fact that it is the most watched sporting event in America. The chip brand turned to Harlow for help in advertising its Doritos BBQ flavors. Harlow pulls up in a limo with hundreds of fans and paparazzi shouting questions at him. — Is it true about the love triangle? One of the paparazzi shouts. Harlow looks at the bag and replies: “Maybe.” However, the paparazzi hears something completely different. “Baby? Are you going to have a baby?” the man asks. See below.
“The real love triangle is us, Jack Harlow and Doritos BBQ,” the chip brand’s marketing team captioned the trailer on Instagram.
Harlow’s presence in the upcoming Super Bowl commercial is just the first of many celebrities to come to this year’s Super Bowl. Harlow himself had a very successful 2022 with the release of Come Home The Kids Miss You. He debuted at number 3 on the Billboard 200 chart. Harlow also hosted the Saturday Night Live show at the end of 2022 and announced his residency in Las Vegas until 2023.
Super Bowl LVII will be held in Glendale, Arizona, at State Farm Stadium on February 12. Rihanna was invited to perform at the Half-Time Show this year — her first performance in five years. It follows the incredibly successful reunion of Dr. Dre, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar during last year’s Super Bowl Half-Time show. Doritos launched a social media campaign to get fans to participate in advertising and receive money.
Wednesday was the last day fans could participate by sharing a triangle-inspired dance via TikTok. The winner will be selected next week and will appear in a Doritos commercial alongside Jack Harlow. It’s a fun way to get TikTok talking about a brand that for many Americans is pretty much synonymous with game day.
