One of the films that the world is looking forward to in 2023 is Barbie starring Margot Robbie. Until now, the world has seen many animated films about Barbie, but for the first time a humanized version of this world-famous doll will appear. And the highlight of the film is not the live-action aspect, but all the secrecy surrounding the plot, and now even the scenery.
Recently, Robbie was spotted at the Golden Globe Awards ceremony, where she was asked about her upcoming release. The actress, hiding most of her role, spoke a little about the filming of the film and her shooting experience.
Margot Robbie was constantly laughing on the set of “Barbie”
When the 32-year-old actress appeared on the red carpet of the Golden Globes, she talked about her stay on the set. She also shared how she avoided laughing at Ryan Gosling in his role as Ken. “Oh, I was laughing all the time,” Robbie confessed at the 2023 Golden Globes to Mark Malkin of Variety.
The Australian actress said there were very positive emotions and laughter on the set, as well as dancing and vibration to the music. When asked what kind of music the actors performed on the set, Robbie replied: “I can’t tell you, it’s all a secret.” This only adds to all the secrecy surrounding the film, especially its plot.

The actress said it was too early to reveal anything. However, she mentioned that there will be dream houses in the movie, as well as real Barbie playsets. Robbie not only plays Barbie, but also produces the movie, so it’s a big deal for her. She calls it the “LuckyChap” project, which she worked on with Greta Gerwig for 4-5 years.
Amy Schumer was originally supposed to play Barbie in Sony's live-action film, but dropped out due to creative differences. She was replaced by Anne Hathaway, however, the project did not materialize.

The film was announced in early 2022, although its story was written about a year ago by Greta Gerwig and Noah Baumbach. Gerwig is also the director of the film, and previously she directed the film “Little Women”, which received several awards, including an Oscar.
Robbie also said that when people hear that there will be a movie about Barbie, a very stereotypical image appears in their head. But when they hear that Gerwig is making a movie, they flip over. The director herself admitted that there is something more to Barbie, especially the character of Ken.
