In an interview with the GizChina website published today (11), TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, known for his inside information and leaks of Apple innovations, put forward some news regarding the iPhone SE series, which, according to him, did not will receive any type of update in the first quarter of next year.
Regarding the iPhone SE 3, whose launch is only speculated for 2022, Kuo informs that the smarphone should support 5G networks and will have a 6.06 inch screen. The main camera will be dual, and the device will receive a Touch ID fingerprint reader.
However, the location of the ID reader remains unknown, and it is more likely that it will move to the side of the device, since if it remains at the bottom of the enlarged screen on the front panel, this would lead to an increase in the size of the case, with reflections in the design.
A new iPhone SE Plus?
In his revelations, the analyst also confirmed that the iPhone 13 line, which will update the current iPhone 12 models, will arrive in the year with four models. In addition, Apple plans to launch a more “affordable” version of the iPhone SE, which would hit stores in the second half.
According to Kuo, the name of this smartphone could be iPhone SE Plus, and it would come with Touch ID buttons to reduce costs. Other measures of reduction would be: the use of the same case as the iPhone XR (or iPhone 8), continuation of the LCD display, and a 5.5 or 6.1 inch screen. However, the processor would be the new A14 Bionic.
