Intel unveiled the first trailer of the new Intel ARC Alchemist graphics cards during The Game Awards 2021. In addition, the company also confirmed that the new GPUs arrive early next year with at least three versions.
The TGA 2021 took place yesterday (9) and, despite being an award that celebrates the gaming industry, what draws the most attention from the public is its commercial character. With the year almost over and no other big events on the calendar, the announcement during the awards was surprising, but it made sense.
Input and intermediate segments in early 2022
The company confirmed for the first quarter of 2022 two ARC Alchemist models with 512 execution units and a simpler one, with only 128, but did not announce a specific date. As such, more details are likely to appear during CES 2022, which takes place between January 5th and 8th.
Despite being top of the line, the 512 EU Alchemist boards target the segment of the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti and Radeon RX 6700 XT. The 128 EU Intel Arc Alchemist intends to compete with the GeForce GTX 1650, GTX 1650 SUPER and Radeon RX 6600 non-XT in the entry-level segment.
