Instagram’s “drag-up” function has its days numbered, says The Verge. The vehicle claims that the social network decreed, through a notification, the end of the appeal for August 30th. After that, it will replace it with a card dedicated to inserting redirect links.
In June, the platform had already indicated the expansion of functionality to more profiles, as well as signaling a possible change in the way the action would be performed. At the time, Vishal Shah, the company’s former head of product, said the goal was to make adhesives official tools.
Sought by The Verge, Instagram explained that, for now, only those who have access to “drag up” will receive the sticker and that it is still evaluating giving it to more profiles. The update, added a spokesman, “will help them understand the best time” for this.
Among the latest additions to the app are the release of the feature that limits comments and DM requests, the extension of Reels to up to 60 seconds and the arrival of automatic text translation for 90 languages, as well as the control of sensitive content and the new security verification tool.
In addition, there are other tests in progress that may result in more news for users, such as the implementation of an ad space in Instagram Shop.
