From this Friday (10), Instagram users will be able to send messages on Direct through the desktop web browser. The novelty has always been much expected, but it has only just arrived due to the social distance to reduce the spread of the coronavirus.
“We know that people are using Instagram to stay connected with each other in times of social distance, so we are going to launch the possibility of sending messages on Direct from the desktop,” said the social network in a press release. .
With the new feature it will be possible to see the entire Direct inbox in one place and respond to messages, in addition to creating new group messages and chats. Users will also be able to reply to Stories using Direct on the desktop, as well as double-clicking to enjoy the messages, as already happens in the mobile version. Sharing feed posts via Direct is also a new possibility on Instagram web.
The update will be available globally starting today.
