Opera, one of the world’s leading internet browsers, has brought Instagram integration into its desktop application. Users can now access the popular social media platform directly through the built-in application in the browser.

Saying that social media is one of the main reasons that people get distracted and constantly control their phones, Kocemba said, “With the built-in Instagram application we have brought to our desktop version, we aim to keep the focus of the users and experience a much more effective social media experience.”

According to the figures announced by Opera earlier this year, 300 million people worldwide are using the Opera Web Browser. According to Netmarketshare figures, Opera is the 7th most popular browser and has a share of only 1.46 percent in the market. The mobile market share of the application is 0.46 percent. The company aims to increase its appeal slightly with new features such as Instagram integration offered to users.
