Instagram introduces new features similar to TikTok effects for the Boomerang tool in Stories. Boomerang’s new features are now available in Stories, and you must have the latest update of your Instagram installed to use them. Similar to the new effects that Instagram brought to Boomerang, the growth rate dropped to a single digit, Snapchat and TikTok have been used for a long time.
Launched in 2015, the Boomerang vehicle receives the first additions after 5 years.
slowmo; allows you to slow down your video to half of its original speeds, and the video plays for two seconds in each direction instead of one second
Echo; adds a motion blur effect to make a semi-transparent track appear behind everything that moves. “It has double vision effect.”
Duo; accelerates and slows video from start to finish with a fast, digitized view.
Trimming; Allows you to edit the length of your Boomerang and when it starts or ends.
Instagram’s sister app WhatsApp is also working on a similar Boomerang feature. WhatsApp currently allows users to make GIFs from videos from the app itself. The messaging app tests the Boomerang feature as an additional video editing tool, such as a GIF creator. This feature is not yet available to all users.
