Kanye West and the controversy last year became synonymous with each other. The American rapper took part in so many of them that it’s hard to keep track of all of them. The year 2022 can be considered one of the worst in Ye’s life, especially after many brands broke off relations with his company.

After the divorce from Kim Kardashian, Ye already had problems. But then his anti-Semitic statements got in the way and took away the entire empire of this billionaire turned millionaire. However, in 2016, when his company Yeezy was the leading brand, West gave an interview in which he talked about the differences.

What did Kanye West say about the controversy?

“I’m not really here to argue,” Ye told Vogue before Yeezy’s Season 4 presentation in 2016. He said this when he was only a few hours away from performing at Madison Square Garden. He was on the Saint Pablo Tour, his biggest hit of the year. These comments on the controversy should have been seen as a challenge coming from someone so outspoken.

Although he got into controversy soon after when he canceled his St. Pablo tour in November because he was admitted to a hospital in Los Angeles for psychiatric evaluation. During his tour, he made several comments in support of Donald Trump, which did not bring results. Also in October, when he was at a concert, his wife Kim Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint in Paris. Because of this, the rapper had to leave the concert halfway to be near her.

This was when Kanye was already involved in some of the biggest controversies of 2016. In 2016, he had another controversy regarding his song Famous. The song is another explicit E music video in which he filmed 12 naked celebrities with him and his wife in bed.

Apparently, these were nude wax statues of some celebrities with a large number of fans, including Taylor Swift, Donald Trump and Rihanna. The album of the song was called The Life Is Pablo, it included such songs as Famous, No More Party in LA, Saint Pablo and others.
