Done with a specific person and want to delete it from your iPhone? It’s pretty simple and won’t take you more than a few seconds.
Incorrect numbers are listed, old numbers, and sometimes people are no longer welcome in the phone’s contact list. Let’s do a big cleaning and try not to be too sad at the same time.
On an iPhone, deleting a contact is as easy as ever. However, you may still find that they appear if your device is connected to any contact lists with lookalikes. If this happens, in the Contacts app you will be able to see which lists you have accumulated over time. These are usually various email accounts for which you have managed to create backups over the years.
In our case, when the old email account was connected to the phone, the contacts appeared again. If this happens, just repeat the process described below.
How to delete contacts on iPhone and iOS
Go to the contacts app and find the contact you want to delete. After doing this, press and hold the contact. The “Delete” button will be red at the bottom. Then you can click this, confirm, and your contact will be deleted.
There is nothing else in it. Once they’re gone, they’re gone, so be sure to always back up your contacts whenever you can. To do this, go to “Settings” and then to “iCloud”. Then you can enable saving contacts to iCloud storage.
This will help you avoid mistakenly accidentally deleting your contacts.
