Doubling up your PS5 controller to play both console and mobile games is very simple. In just a few steps, you will destroy the lobbies.
Similar to connecting a PS4 controller to a phone, it’s surprisingly easy to do. Since DualSense continues to use the universal Bluetooth protocol for connections, your PS5 controller will work almost immediately after unpacking.
The only problem you may encounter is some games that don’t fully support the controller. Things like Apex Legends Mobile and Call of Duty Mobile still require you to tap on the screen to navigate the menu. By overcoming this two-handed way of playing, you will also discover a whole new world.
Connecting the PS5 controller to iPhone and iPad
First, we need to turn on your Bluetooth, but it should already be on. On iOS, we can easily check this by swiping down from the far right corner and opening the Control Center. If Bluetooth is turned off, just tap it to turn it back on.
While you are still in the Control Center, you can just tap and hold the Bluetooth icon and then tap “Bluetooth Settings”. If you are on the home page, just go to settings and use the search bar to easily access Bluetooth.
From here, grab your controller and click the “Share” and “Home” buttons together. This will start the pairing process.
Now you should see that the PS5 controller appears on new devices to connect. Tap it and follow the on-screen instructions.

PS5 controller on Android phone or tablet
Again, we need to check if your Bluetooth is enabled. Swipe down to open the Quick Settings menu. Check if your Bluetooth is enabled, and then go to the settings app and find the Bluetooth settings.
Click the Share and Home buttons together to start pairing. Now you can find it in the list of new devices to connect. Tap it, follow the on-screen instructions and download your favorite game.
