How I Met Your Father: Series Premiere Date Announced; Look!

How I Met Your Father: Starring Hilary Duff, the spin-off series How I Met Your Father is already set to premiere on Hulu streaming.

In a video posted on Instagram, the main cast plays with Barney Stinson’s iconic “wait for it” to announce that the series arrives on Disney’s streaming platform on January 18, 2022.

How I Met Your Father: What’s the Story?

In the derivative of How I Met Your Mother (HIMYM), who narrates the story is Sophie, played by Hilary Duff in the younger version and Kim Cattrall as the older one.

By telling your son how you met his father, the series transports us to 2021, the year Sophie and her group of friends, consisting of Jesse (Chris Lowell), Valentina (Francia Raisa), Charlie (Tom Ainsley), Ellen (Tien Tran), and Sid (Suraj Sharma), are trying to unravel the future as they grapple with the dating era through almost endless apps and options.

As soon as the series was confirmed, Duff spoke about his anxiety about taking on the role of Sophie. The actress also stated that she is a super fan of HIMYM and that she is a little nervous about being part of the sequel to that hit.

Developed by Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger, How I Met Your Father will feature original series creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas as executive producers.

With 10 episodes, the series debuts on Hulu, which is not yet available in Brazil, on January 18, 2022.
