Headie One is back with his first new music of 2023 — watch the official video for the new track “Martin’s Sofa” below.
The drilling star ended 2022 by releasing a joint mixtape “No Borders”, in which he teamed up with a number of European talents, including German artists Luciano, Pagel and Kalim, Italian Shiva, French musicians Gazo, Koba LaD and Nej, as well as Frenna and Chivv from the Netherlands.
To start the new year, he shared a new energetic song “Martin’s Sofa” along with the official video.

Elsewhere in 2022, Headie shared the singles “Came In The Scene”, “22 Carats” and “Illegal” featuring Gazo.
“No Borders” is the latest in a long line of Headie One collaborations that have hired Fred again… for the 2020 “Gang” mixtape. The following year, he released his fifth mixtape, “Too Loyal for My Own Good”, which was a follow-up to his 2020 studio debut, “Edna”. The rapper toured with this album last year, and his London show last November received four stars in the NME review.
After the release of the new mixtape, Headie took part in a special freestyle performance of Fire In The Booth with the help of several friends.
To celebrate the release of the mixtape, Headie One shared a special 24-minute performance of Fire In The Booth, in which he teamed up with some of his “No Borders” colleagues, including Koba LaD, Pajel, Yasin, Chivv, Shiva and Dezzie, who freestyle in a series of 11 beats.
