Netflix showed its first frame from “Mask Girl”!
“Mask Girl” is based on the webtoon of the same name, which has gained great popularity due to its unique characters and refreshing plot. The drama will tell about an ordinary employee named Kim Mo Mi, who is not sure about her appearance. Every night, Kim Mo Mi is active as an Internet Broadcasting (BJ) jockey who works by covering her face with a mask. “The Girl in the Mask” depicts the turbulent life story of Kim Mo Mi, which unfolds when she inadvertently becomes involved in an incident.
Actresses Go Hyun Jung and Nana will take on the role of Kim Mo Mi in different timelines and create an intriguing character as they represent the same role in different styles. Ahn Jae Hong will play Kim Mo Mi’s colleague, Joo Oh Nam, who is in love with her, and Yeom Hye Ran will play Ju Oh Nam’s mother, Kim Kyung Ja.
“Mask Girl” will be filmed and written by director Kim Yong-hoon, who received a special prize from the jury of the Tiger competition at the 49th International Film Festival in Rotterdam for the crime thriller “Animals Grasping at Straws”. The series will be produced by Bon Factory from the films “Real Beauty”, “The Meeting”, “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim”, “The Host’s Sun” and others.
