Bernadette Hunt, known for her role as the Falcon in the TV series “Gladiators”, has died at the age of 59.

This was announced by Rick Django, the partner of Hunt’s older sister, who confirmed that she died after a battle with cancer.

In a Facebook post , he wrote: “It is with great sadness that I have to tell you about my partner’s younger sister Bernadette Hunt. Most people remember her as a Falcon from the popular TV show “Gladiators”.

“I’ve had the privilege of being in her company several times, and I have to say that she was one of the most wonderful people I’ve ever met. She never said a bad word about anyone, she was always known as the nicest gladiator, always stopped to talk and sign autographs for everyone.

“She fought cancer for several years until, unfortunately, she lost her fight. to tear. Bernie.”

Hunt joined Gladiators for the show’s second season in 1993 and remained there until the end of the show in 2000. She was the second female gladiator in the series by length of service.

As noted on the official Gladiators website, Hunt was a bodybuilding champion who won titles such as Miss Newcomer Britain, Miss London and Miss South Britain.

“Many fans will remember Sokol as the sweetest, warmest, most generous person with a radiant smile! Our Gladiator family is truly heartbroken over the loss of Bernie,” the message reads.
