The Genshin Impact Update 2.3 has just come out, but the community’s leakers seem to be working fervently to unravel what gamers can expect from 2.4, with discoveries including a new area called Enkanomiya, the return of the Ritual of Lanterns and the Maze de Vento, plus a new story mission and encounter events.

new region

According to the leaker Project Celestia, the new map will be Enkanomiya, which has already been mentioned in side quests like Moonbathed Depths and Watsumi’s Heart. It will have a total of nine sub-areas and a time cycle alternating between periods called “Evernight” and “Whitenight”, which serve to “reveal different environments and mechanisms”.

Celestia also stated that we will see the return of the Ritual of Lanterns, an event based on the Chinese New Year that was previously held in Liyue, and gave players the chance to earn certain four-star characters through special coins. This information makes a lot of sense if the update actually comes out around February, when the Chinese celebration takes place.

Leaker Blank said in his Discord that the Labyrinth of Wind event will also be back, in seven new areas: four in Inazuma, two in Liyue and one in Mondstadt.

new history and encounters

According to Project Celestia, version 2.4 will follow a general structure similar to other major updates, featuring a main event mission, a story mission and two character encounter events.

Apparently, the meetings will be with Ningguang – builder of the Jade Chamber and a very important figure in Liyue’s plot – and Yunjin, a character recently announced by miHoYo. The story quest would focus on Shenhe, which was also revealed a short time ago.

It is worth remembering that none of this information has been confirmed so far by the developer, being considered only rumors. Now, we’ll just have to wait and see what the future really holds for this action RPG.

Genshin Impact is available for PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, PC, Android and iOS.
