Microsoft co-founder and former CEO Bill Gates used social media to criticize a move by U.S. President Donald Trump. The executive complained about the decision taken this week to stop the country’s funding for the World Health Organization (WHO), on the grounds that the agency’s decisions regarding the new coronavirus will be reassessed by the government.
“Interrupting funding from the World Health Organization during a global health crisis is as dangerous as it sounds. Their work is slowing the spread of covid-19, and if that work stops, no other organization can replace them. The world needs WHO now more than ever, “he wrote.

In addition to being one of the richest people in the world and having only recently retired from the board of the company he helped create, Gates dedicates almost all of his time today to philanthropy. Together with his wife, Melinda Gates, he maintains an entity with several projects to reduce world problems, such as hunger and lack of basic sanitation.
Regarding the new coronavirus, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has already financed a home test and fast to be carried out in the USA. He had previously suggested that the world could soon face a pandemic, and how society was unprepared to deal with the case.
