Galaxy Watch app helps user to wash their hands properly

Samsung launched an application for the Galaxy Watch that can be very useful during the pandemic: the company’s solution is called “Hand Wash” and reminds the user to wash their hands, in addition to bringing a count to ensure that hygiene is done in a way correct.

When installed, the official tool from the South Korean manufacturer sounds an alarm every two hours reminding the user to wash their hands. In addition, the app starts a 25-second count when the user is performing the action.

The times were stipulated following studies recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO). The institution recommends that the user wash their hands for at least 20 seconds six to ten times a day.

Although the application is already prepared for use following professional recommendations, Samsung allows users to customize the experience. According to the company, people are free to choose a certain number of reminders to wash their hands using the app’s interface. The program also allows you to monitor the daily and weekly performance of the hygiene habit.

The Samsung handwashing application can be downloaded from the Galaxy Store and works on Gear S3, Gear Sports, Galaxy Watch, Galaxy Watch Active and Galaxy Watch Active 2 smart watches. To find the solution, simply search for “Hand Wash” in the company’s app store.

The manufacturer also points out that all smartwatches compatible with the technology are water resistant. Therefore, the user does not have to worry about the health of the watch while cleaning the hands.
