Fox: After Disney acquired Fox, many were curious to know how they could check out the company’s content. Although, in Brazil, Star+ has a catalog with most Fox and FX series, the films have another type of distribution and licensing.
It was even recently announced that, in 2022, these productions will be part of Disney+ and Hulu, in addition to HBO Max, which has had an interesting agreement with the company that has held the main rights for some time.
However, the contract between Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution and WarnerMedia is not expected to last longer than next year, according to a report by Variety.
Thus, after 2022, it is quite likely that 20th Century Studios films will be exclusive to Disney platforms, in this case Hulu, Disney+ and Star+. The Ron Bugado animation (Ron’s Gone Wrong, in the original), which premieres December 15, will be shared between HBO Max and Disney+.
The selection of titles also includes the films produced by Searchlight Pictures and will be exclusive to the three platforms as the first viewing window after their respective official releases in movie theaters. In early 2022, Predator Prey, a science fiction and horror film, should be available for consumption on Hulu and also on HBO Max.
