Manchester United players are always in the spotlight.

Even after retirement, from Gary Neville to David Beckham, United’s old boys were often in the news for a variety of reasons, and another former “red devil” recently joined his experienced colleagues, scoring an unlikely victory in a more unlikely event.

Masterchef Sweden ended this week, and it all came down to a fierce fight between two equal rivals, but former Manchester United winger Jesper Blomkvist emerged victorious, defeating TV presenter Carl Fredrik Gustafsson.

Blomkvist played a vital role in United’s Treble victory in the 1999/00 season, a feat unmatched by any other club in England.

This victory over the Titanic, which ended at the Camp Nou against the Bavarian giant Bayern Munich in the Champions League final, a game in which the culinary virtuoso has already started, was the culmination of Blomkvist’s football career, the one in which he will see the famous colors. Milan and Parma as well.

As United were falling behind, he was replaced by Teddy Sheringham in the 67th minute, which was a turning point in the game.

Sheringham equalized and assisted Ole Gunnar Sulscher’s winner, with both goals scored in stoppage time.

Now Blomkvist, the proud owner of his own pizzeria in Stockholm, has expressed his opinion about receiving the coveted culinary prize.

A former member of the Swedish national team wrote on his social network account: “What a great opponent I had on the other side of the kitchen table in @karlFred/tag/fred/” target=”_blank” title=”” >fredrik.se [TV host Carl Fredrik Gustafsson] and what an exciting finale it was.

“Despite the fact that I knew the result, I was sweating all over while watching iFred TV. Incredibly happy, grateful and humble for the victory, know that you, Karl-Fredrik, could also win, it was an incredibly difficult and even final.

“The whole production was surprisingly funny, instructive, but at the same time tough. Then it helps to have such wonderful participants, jury members and the rest of the recording team that supports, pepper and spurs, thank you all for a wonderful adventure.”

Football players often say that their life in sports is constantly shortening, and after retirement it is difficult for them to adapt to a new career.

Blomkvist’s success in his new field is a great example for all football players that there really is life after the game.

The 94-year-old bronze medalist of the World Championship has achieved tremendous success in his newfound career in a short time, which testifies to his will and dedication.

A touching story for the ages.
