Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker: On Tuesday (30), Square Enix announced through a post on the Final Fantasy XIV page the measures it intends to take with the possible congestion of servers due to early access and release of the Endwalker expansion.
“As the launch of a new expansion is when a large number of users will be playing for long periods of time, we expect many more simultaneous logins compared to normal. Also, after a dramatic increase in the player base in all regions since this one summer, we’re currently experiencing a record number of active users and therefore expect a number of logins that haven’t been seen since the release of FFXIV,” explained the post.
Measures taken include: server optimization to increase login limits, queuing for worlds that reach the maximum number of players, prioritizing users who purchased the full version over those using the free trial version, and automatically disconnecting any individual that stay idle for 30 minutes.
As for characters, it won’t be possible to create new ones on congested worlds, and if traffic is high, or the login queue exceeds 17 thousand people, Error 2002 can also occur when trying to select a menu. Unfortunately, the company explains that the solution to this problem will be to be patient and try to connect again.
Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker will be released on December 7th for PS4, PS5 and PC.
