Manchester United have a list of targets for strikers, which includes Harry Kane, Viktor Osimhen and Benjamin Sesko.
The striker is high on Erik ten Hag’s agenda in the summer transfer window, as United lack a reliable scorer.
The Peoples Person recently reported that Kane is open to a move to Old Trafford as doubts grow about his long-term future at Tottenham.
However, David Ornstein from Athletic said that the Englishman really wants to sign a new contract with Lily White. Kane still wants to win trophies with Tottenham.
Weighing in on the Kane saga, Miguel Delaney clarifies that United are fans of the 29-year-old, although Eric ten Haag prefers a faster striker like Viktor Osimhen.
The deal for Osimhen may be difficult. In that case, Ten Hag would be open to Kane. The Dutchman was changing his style of play to adapt to Kane’s strengths and build an attack around him.
United executives believe that factors may be in their favor regarding the completion of the Kane deal. It is assumed that an agreement worth 80 million pounds can be reached.
Delaney adds that in the Theater of Dreams, Kane’s position is strongly compared to that of Robin Van Persie, an experienced star in an ineffective team eager to win trophies and compete at the highest level.
Italian journalist and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano told The United Stand that Osimhen is a huge opportunity for the Red Devils.
Romano was asked if the Nigerian sensation would move to United. He said: “Maybe, yes, but it’s just an opinion. But there are no negotiations.”
However, Romano confirmed that Osimhen’s dream is to play in the Premier League. “Viktor Osimhen’s dream is to play in the Premier League. My personal opinion is that Napoli will not accept less than 120-130 million euros for Osimhen.”
The astronomical price of Osimhen certainly makes Kane a more acceptable and attractive option when many other positions also require a solution.
