Manchester United coach Erik ten Hag has spoken out about the fight between Bruno Fernandez and Anthony against Crystal Palace.

At Selhurst Park, a moment of misunderstanding between the two United stars led to them exchanging words in what seemed like a heated moment.

The video went viral and caused a mixed reaction from fans.

However, everything was fine between the two strikers, who reconciled after a few minutes during the game.

Ten Hag told Sky Sports: “I think they really agree with that. There are always emotions, so much depends on the brain, but also emotions when the heart rules the head.

“These two, and there are others, when they bring these emotions into the game, it makes their game better.

“Sometimes they cross the line with each other, but the minute they do, they become best friends again.”

Ten Hag praised Fernandes and noted that along with the Portuguese, the other leaders at Old Trafford are Raphael Varane, David de Gea, Christian Eriksen and Luke Shaw.

The United boss added that one decisive fight against Arsenal will be between Fernandez and Martin Edegor. He called the two captains modern footballers who are very technical and score goals.

Ten Hag believes that Fernandes can become a weapon of the Red Devils in the transition stage against the Gunners, who currently lead the table and have a gap of five points between themselves and Manchester City, who took second place.

The Dutchman was asked about Casemiro’s absence, and he said that the team has a special plan for Arsenal, as it was with Manchester City during the derby.

Ten Hag doubled down on his previous position that there are no excuses and that United should beat Arsenal even without Casemiro, as they did earlier this season.
