Email Sent by ABC to Employees After T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach Leave

After months of rumors about an alleged workplace romance between GMA3’s Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes, the saga seems to have come to an end. Last week it was reported that the hosts would not return to their posts, and the press secretary backed up this news with an official statement. Although this was not confirmed in the statement, it was also reported that two media representatives also signed formal withdrawal agreements. As usual in such situations, an internal message was also sent to ABC News employees. Now this email, which came from the president of the company, has been leaked.

ABC’s Kim Godwin has provided an update over the past few months regarding the handling of T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach’s alleged affair. She had previously stated that a decision on their corporate future would not be made until an internal investigation into the matter was completed. According to TMZ, it was on Friday that she finally sent out an email informing her colleagues that she and her superiors had “made a decision about T.J. and Amy.” The head continued to discuss the “distractions” that have affected the company for several months, and shared a few words of encouragement to those who work in the corporation:

I know this has distracted a lot of us, but let’s not forget all the great work that continues to make ABC News the No. 1 news network in America, and it’s thanks to you. I want to thank you again for your patience and professionalism during this time.

According to previous reports, the manager’s message was extremely necessary. Insiders have previously claimed that GMA employees blamed Kim Godwin for the protracted investigation. One source went so far as to say just a few days ago that “morale is at an unprecedented low.” It was also said that T.J. Colleagues of Holmes and Amy Robach did not expect them to return.

Kim Godwin’s memo also included a widely circulated statement made by a spokesman. In addition, she said that decisions regarding the future anchors of GMA3 and 20/20 will be announced later. Rumors about the alleged successors of the anchors have been circulating for some time. Earlier this month, it was claimed that DeMarco Morgan, who has been replacing T.J. Holmes since he was taken off the air, could be the main candidate. Of course, we’ll just have to wait and see how the network decides to move forward.

It is also unclear what awaits Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes now that they have officially released their high-profile concerts. At the time of writing this article, the terms of their exit deals were also not disclosed, although some legal analysts assumed in advance that they could cost ABC a pretty penny. Just this weekend, an insider claimed that the company was going to dig up dirt on Rob, trying to reduce her payout. Given that all parties have reached an agreement, one would think that the two stars were at least mostly satisfied with how the mediation ultimately failed.

When the dust has finally settled, it’s safe to assume that Kim Godwin and ABC News can now really get back to business as usual. Viewers will probably be looking forward to finding out who will fill the two main vacancies on GMA3. Time will also tell whether the resolution and the subsequent email will ignite a fire in the team.
