Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek shared a video of him working hard in the gym while continuing his rehabilitation.
Van de Beek was injured during United’s Premier League match against Bournemouth at Old Trafford in January.
The Dutchman collided with Bournemouth star Marcos Senesi and came out of the collision the worst of the two.
Van de Beek underwent surgery, and Eric ten Haag later confirmed that the player is unlikely to play for the Red Devils again this season.
However, Ten Hag expressed optimism that his Dutch compatriot will be available for United’s pre-season tour.
The United boss said via club media on January 13: “I think that’s pretty positive news.”
“Of course, the bad news is that he’s out for the rest of the season.”
“But the good news is that in the long run his knee will be fine and he will be ready to play at the highest level again and be ready for the start of pre-season.”
The Peoples Person reported that United will travel to the United States before preparing for the next campaign.
Van de Beek took to social media to show supporters his progress.
In the video, a 25-year-old guy is doing exercises in the gym, trying to build strength.
In a series of exercises, Van de Beek seems to be doing well, as he is focused on returning to the game in the new season.
The man from United signs the video with the words: “Trust the process.”
“Step by step.”
