Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3 will get next-gen versions in the first half of 2022

CD Projekt Red’s ambitious role-playing game has not left the spotlight since its turbulent release. The company’s CEO recently said, in an interview, that the company is committed to making the game better and that in the near future, it will end up becoming one of the best experiences of its kind and that the Polish giant will not be bought, dispelling old rumors.

Today (29), CD Projekt Red announced through a press release that the new-gen versions of the title will arrive in the first quarter of 2022. In the second quarter of the year, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will also receive versions for the new generation. Insider Nibel summarized some of the highlights of this announcement.

Adam Kicinski, CEO of CD Projekt Red still claims that the first expansion for Cyberpunk 2077 is also being developed. Along with the new versions, a major update for all platforms will also be made available. He adds that the company has already started to produce new projects, with studios The Molasses Flood and Digital Scapes, now known as CD Projekt Red Vancouver, recently acquired by the company.

Next-gen versions will be made available free of charge to PS4 and Xbox One version owners. You can read our Cyberpunk 2077 review here.
