Couple Who Were Waiting to Marry Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck in Vegas Recalls Their Experience With A-Listers

Millions of people are getting married in Las Vegas, and over the weekend several big names added their own to this list when Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez got into Sin City and got married in a very small ceremony. While Affleck and Lopez could have painted the city red and done it all in the style of celebrities, instead they decided to make it simple. And just like everyone else, and here they are waiting for a marriage license along with several other couples, and one of them is now speaking out.

Irica and Demetrius Visaya actually had bigger wedding plans than Ben and Jennifer. According to ABC7 in Los Angeles, they were celebrating their 2-year-old’s birthday with friends and family in Victorville, California, when the wedding discussion eventually turned into an impromptu trip to Vegas for five wagons of people.

The guests went to the chapel, and the happy couple went to get a marriage certificate, and there they ran into another, instantly recognizable couple who was doing the same thing. Demetrius said…

Aerika turned around, looked at the door and said: “Oh my God. This is Ben Affleck and Jay Lo.

Apparently, the future husband did not immediately believe his new wife, which may be understandable. While Las Vegas may be one of the most likely places in the world to accidentally meet celebrities, it’s expected to happen at a casino or an expensive restaurant, not at the office where you get your marriage certificate.

They didn’t manage to get any photos, we can assume that the whole point of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez’s wedding in a small chapel in Vegas was that they didn’t want any publicity yet. Affleck and Lopez kept their relationship as secret as possible for two celebrities. Even Affleck’s father apparently didn’t initially know his son was engaged. Despite the fact that the celebrity couple did not bring many friends and relatives with them, it is said that Affleck and Lopez are planning a second ceremony in the future, which will be attended by guests who missed the first one. It is unknown if Lopez will wear the same wedding dress, which was apparently a costume from an old movie.

Couples chatted together for a few minutes, waiting for their turn to get their rights. As expected, all the couples who were standing in line wanted to see famous people who were waiting for them together. Arika said…

Everyone wanted to go back there and try to see them. I thought we’d miss our wedding!

And the couple from Victorville, California, has now become a minor celebrity in their own right. According to People, when Jennifer Lopez announced the wedding in her newsletter, she referred to a couple from Victorville who drove there for three hours.

This is a humorous and humanizing postscript to the story of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez about whether they will or not. It turns out there will be. Good luck in their new life together to both Affleck and Lopez, as well as to all the couples who got married with them.
