Bundesliga football expert Christian Falk claims that this summer Manchester United is preparing an offer for French striker Randal Kolo Mouani.
The need for United to reinforce the strikers is obvious after the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani, as well as due to the constant unavailability of Mason Greenwood.
Most of the columns in the press were devoted to Harry Kane from Spurs and Victor Osimhen from Napoli, but the price tags of both clubs exceed 120 million euros, and both clubs, as you know, have difficult negotiators.
Thus, Kolo Muani may turn out to be a dark horse in the race, and Falk is sure that the ties are getting stronger.
“Everyone has a feeling that it is no longer realistic for Eintracht Frankfurt to keep Randal Colo Mouani for another year,” Falk said in Caughtoffside.
“The player has already come out and said that for the first time he can think about a summer move, in particular, to a big club.
Manchester United is very important to Muani. They don’t have a suitable striker for this position; look at Wout Weghorst — he scored only two goals for them.
“They are preparing an offer for him. He knows that, and if you have United in your head, it’s hard for you to focus on Frankfurt.”
Kolo Muani won’t be cheap either, but there’s a feeling it’s an easier deal. He has a contract in Frankfurt until 2027, and the price of 100 million euros is considered by the Bundesliga as a starting point.
No matter how high it is, it must meet the requirements of Aurelio de Laurentiis in the amount of 150-170 million euros for Osimhen and the ticket price of Daniel Levy in 120 million euros for the 30-year-old Kane.
Falk is a fairly reliable Level 2 reporter and remains adamant that United are preparing a bid for the Frenchman.
Whether the sale of the club will affect this is still unknown.
