Chloe Bennett’s Agents From SHIELD Have Convinced MCU Fans that Quake Is Coming Back After a Twitter Roast

Throughout the show of “Agents of SHIELD” on ABC, Chloe Bennett’s Daisy Johnson, aka Shiver, has established herself as an invaluable member of the core team thanks to her computer hacking skills or the disclosure of her inhuman ability to manipulate and generate vibrations. After the incredible event of the S.H.I.E.L.D. series finale in 2020, rumors have been circulating since then that some characters from the series are returning to the Marvel cinematic universe. Now Bennett has convinced MCU fans that Quake is really coming back after she fried someone on Twitter.

It all started with the fact that Charles Murphy, the owner of the Murphy’s Multiverse website, tweeted a mysterious gif with Chloe Bennet in the TV series “Agents of Shield”. scene. This led to a conversation between him and various Twitter users about Bennett’s acting abilities, and Murphy eventually said of the actress that “the best performance in a soap opera is not really a great achievement.” After reading this criticism, Bennett responded in her tweet:

Hey, dude, do you look like a… sneaky loser? Also, I have a strong feeling that your tweets won’t age 😬 😎

As you can see from the responses, Chloe Bennett received a lot of support for calling out Charles Murphy, but her words that his tweets “won’t get old” also made people wonder what she meant by that. On the one hand, perhaps Bennett is just hinting that as more and more people watch “Agents of Shield”. In the coming years, she will have more fans of her Daisy Johnson look. However, the dominant theory at the moment is that Bennett may have been teasing that she’s playing Quake again for a new MCU project (it’s not the first time she’s done this).

If so, with the exception of Clark Gregg, who debuted as Phil Coulson in Phase 1 of the MCU and later played a younger version of SHIELD. Agent in the 1995 film Captain Marvel, Chloe Bennett will be the first lead agent of the Shield. an actor to reprise his role in a setting outside of the show itself. Saying that just because Bennett can reprise Quake doesn’t necessarily mean she’ll be playing the same version of a character from the seven seasons of “S.H.I.E.L.D.” After all, Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio have returned over the past few years as Matt Murdock, respectively./Daredevil and Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, but it has not yet been officially clarified whether these are the same characters that Netflix subscribers watched in Daredevil. from 2015 to 2018.

Perhaps more importantly, though, Agents of Shield began as a direct tie-in to the Marvel film series, with films such as Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Avengers: Age of Ultron and Captain America: Standoff all having a direct impact on what happened in the series and the events. which unfolded in S.H.I.E.L.D. Later seasons became more difficult to properly connect with the main continuity of the MCU. Some, including me, are now thinking about S.H.I.E.L.D. as happening in another universe (which the first season of Loki seemed to strengthen), so if Bennet plays Quake again soon, it may be her “main” version, and not her earlier version of S.H.I.E.L.D. counterpart. On the other hand, we are in the middle of a Multiverse saga, so if an upcoming Marvel movie or TV show wants to take the SHIELD Earthquake and send it to the main MCU universe, it will be easy enough to do so.

If/when it is confirmed that Chloe Bennet will return as Quake in some corner of the MCU, we will let you know here at CinemaBlend. In the meantime, feel free to stream all S.H.I.E.L.D. agents with a Disney+ subscription, which you can also use to re-watch Marvel movies in order.
