A 4K 3D restoration of “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer Stone” will hit theaters in China this spring in hopes that it will help lift the film industry after several weeks in quarantine of the coronavirus pandemic.
The country was hit by a massive business closure, including movie theaters since January and Warner Bros. It hopes that the relaunch of one of the most beloved movies by audiences in recent times will help cheer people up.
Some cinemas have begun to reopen, however, the influx of spectators has been almost non-existent.
That said, the Chinese government has authorized entertainment and restaurant events to return to business, so it won’t be long until theaters in the country return to normal activities.
