Che Lingo released a new single “Out The Blue” and shared details about his second album “Coming Up For Air”.
The album follows his critically acclaimed debut, “The Worst Generation,” and in it the AIM Award-nominated South Londoner will talk about mental health and suffering to the fullest.
“CUFA is an intimate and personal look at me and people like me who sometimes find it difficult to see themselves,” Che Lingo said. “The CUFA album, in its own way, should let people know that they are not alone in these trials.”
In anticipation of his next album, Lingo released “Out The Blue”; a dark track to help “break out of the circle of pressure, inherited and personal, from which he and many others suffer.”
Speaking about what inspired the creation of the song, Lingo mentioned “times when I felt like I was drowning, struggling with things, emotionally and mentally I couldn’t even see and repeat this cycle… This is a story about such times and how I sang and made my way through it. You’re not alone. Trust me.”
Director Rhys Selvadorai described the “special” experience of working on the video.
“Giving Che movement to express your feelings through underwater movement,” Selvadorai said. “We wanted to portray the struggle physically, while we let the sound connect with the visuals, giving the audience an idea of Che Lingo.”
This follows Lingo’s previously released single “My Radio” featuring the Queen of Rock music, which garnered a million listens in two weeks.
