Valencia coach Albert Celades said after the 2-0 victory of his team against Granada that it was a victory and that he showed that the team has character.
“I do not know if it is the most deserving victory since I am here but it has a lot of merit for all that has happened, where we come from with many games played, with two injuries during the match but this team has this character, it does not give up and we are happy with his performance, “he told a press conference.
He praised the Danish Daniel Wass game, which he said was “great” with very good performance despite playing this time away from the position in the center of the field he occupied after the injury of Kondogbia.
“You do not have reproaches for anyone because we have an injury every game but with those of encouragement and with which we have we go forward,” he added to the media.
“We would like to have more points, get more goals and play better, but we are in a good situation in Champions with two teams like Ajax and Chelsea and in LaLiga we are improving and getting closer to the top positions. We have to demand more and improve,” he explained The Valencian technician.
“This team gives lessons every game, it may be better or worse but its attitude is always praiseworthy and remarkable,” Celades added in his praise to his players.
He was proud of the team being “one of those days that you end up pressing until 97 and has a lot of merit against a very good team that has made a very good start to the season, which is up and is not by chance.”
Celades said they blame the injuries – nine today – on the accumulation of matches and that they are “all at the limit and we are paying for it” and also clarified that he chose left-hander Jaume Costa for the right wing instead of the Portuguese right-back Thierry Correia for the physical “good moment” of the first.
