The forward Carmelo Anthony is expected by the Trail Blazers as a solution to enhance the offensive game, said Tuesday Terry Stotts, coach of the Portland team.
Anthony, 35, signed a provisional contract for one season but will have to wait until January 7 until his continuity in Portland is assured.
If by that date you continue in the ranks of the Trail Blazers you will receive the 2.2 million dollars previously agreed and the guarantee to continue for the rest of the season.
Anthony will receive $ 14,490 a day with the Trail Blazers and the team will have to include $ 1.4 million in his salary cap.
Stotts is confident that the Brooklyn is the revulsive for the team’s attack.
Anthony had so far received no offer.
His last game was on November 8, 2018, when he was with the Rockets, who fired him for not fitting into the offensive scheme that the Houston team intended to implement.
