Call of Duty: Warzone began its fifth season on August 5, 2020, and with the news came changes to the balance of weapons in Battle Royale.
Some of the favorites from the previous season were “nerfed” and lost their status as best weapons. However, newcomers AN-94 and ISO also did not take this space, according to statistics from Unikrn, an esports betting company. Check out some of the best weapons of Season 5 of Call of Duty: Warzone, available for free download on PlayStation 4 (PS4), Xbox One and PC (Battle.net), with the possibility of crossplay between platforms.
Unikrn’s measurements take into account weapons in their pure state, with no changes made by the player. They also do not consider secondary elements, such as loss of power by distance from the target, kicking when shooting and special characteristics of the weapon. The list only considers the best weapons between Assault Rifles (AR) and Submachine Guns (SMG), as they are the most competitive armaments in the game. Weapons like the LMG Bruen MK9 can also be good, but they would not be recommended in close encounters like the AR and SMG.
The data takes into account the average damage of each weapon, as well as average damage to different parts of the body and data on how many shots can be taken per second. There is also information about the speed of each weapon to pull the sights and how long it takes to kill an opponent with maximum health and armor, that is, 250 HP.
A weapon with a high RPS (shots per second) may be good for eliminating an opponent who has already suffered damage, but not necessarily the best weapon for defeating an opponent who still has 250 HP. Based on the data, the top five weapons in the fifth season would be: FAL (AR), Fennec (SMG), MP5 (SMG), MP7 (SMG) and RAM-7 (AR).
