Fans went wild on Twitter while Activision investigated the problem. Some players of Xbox One Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone were found this morning in front of a giant download from 84 GB .
Season 4 of the Infinity Ward shooter started at 7 this morning, and with it came a download that the developer had warned would be “great” .
The download weighs 45 GB on PC, 32,375 GB on PS4 and 44 GB on Xbox One. At least it should be 44 GB on Xbox One, as some users were forced to download a double the update and, of course, the reaction was negative.

Activision has stated that it is investigating the issue, so it appears that the download size on Xbox One is an error. However, this will not be of much help to Call of Duty fans who are already in the middle of the download.
We're actively investigating an issue for #ModernWarfare where some players on Xbox are seeing a larger than expected download size for today's update. Stay tuned for updates
