Bruno Fernandez and Anthony in Disagreement at Selhurst Park

Manchester United’s winning streak was halted by the late Michael Oliz, who equalized for Crystal Palace last night at Selhurst Park.

Erik Ten Hag’s men were left to regret their luck in what turned out to be a disappointing evening in the capital.

Tensions escalated throughout the match: captain Bruno Fernandes and Brazilian winger Anthony quarreled in the middle of the first half.

According to The Sun, the pair were talking after the winger’s inappropriate pass.

Fernandes’ check was not noticed by his teammate, who then took the ball out of play, much to the Portuguese’s disappointment.

The duo then exchanged a few choice words, and neither of them seemed to want to back down from the spat.

Everything was settled relatively quickly, and the players high-fived at the next break in the game.

Fernandes put United ahead two minutes before the break.

However, despite United controlling most of the game, they eventually equalized thanks to Olize’s stunning free kick in added time.

Although the confrontation could have been avoided, it revealed the demands that United players are now making on each other, which the captain noted after the game.

“[We] used to be individuals, now we are a team. You see the right team working for each other.” Fernandez said.

Erik ten Hag instilled a fight and a desire that has not been at Old Trafford in recent years, and this has played a huge role in their rise up the table.

They are both expected to start United’s next match — a mouth-watering trip to the Emirates, where they will face Arsenal on Sunday.
