Brandon Urie announced the disbandment of Panic! At a disco after almost 20 years.
The band was formed in Las Vegas, Nevada in 2004 by Uri, Ryan Ross, Spencer Smith and Brent Wilson.
After four albums and various line-ups, Panic! became Uri’s solo project in 2015. Since then, he has released three more albums under this name: “Death Of A Bachelor” (2016), “Pray For The Wicked” (2018) and last year’s “Viva Las Vengeance”.
Panic! At The Disco are planning to tour the UK and Europe next month.
Sharing a statement on social media today (January 24), Uri confirmed that the upcoming concerts will be his last. The singer confirmed that he and his wife Sarah Ozhekhovsky are expecting their first child together, and said he wants to focus on his family.
“Well, it was a hell of a journey…” was how Uri’s post began. “Growing up in Vegas, I could never imagine where this life would take me. So many places around the world and so many friends we’ve made along the way.
“But sometimes a journey has to end in order for a new one to begin. We tried to keep it to ourselves, although some of you may have heard… Sarah and I are expecting a baby very soon! The prospect of becoming a father and seeing my wife become a mother is humiliating and exciting. I’m looking forward to the next adventure.”

He continued: “However, I’m going to end this chapter of my life and focus my attention and energy on my family, and with this panic! There will be no more At The Disco.”
Uri then thanked the fans of Panic! For their “tremendous support,” adding, “I’ve been sitting here trying to come up with the perfect way to say this, and I really can’t put into words how much it means to us.
“Regardless of whether you were here from the very beginning or just found us, it was nice not only to share the stage with so many talented people, but also to spend time with you. I’m looking forward to meeting everyone in Europe and the UK for the last run together.
“I love you. I appreciate you. Thank you for being there. Brandon” You can see the message in the post above.

In a four—star review of Panic!’s seventh studio album, which was released last August, NME wrote: “Yes, ‘Viva Las Vengeance’ is a completely different Panic! At The Disco, but remains true to their careless attitude.
“Will all their fans like it? Probably not. But Panic! they have never been reduced to pimping or following a typical path. Seven albums behind, and it’s nice to see that this reckless dedication is still leading the way.”
