Billy Bragg has announced a tour of the UK and Ireland to celebrate his 40th anniversary in music – all details below.
The singer, songwriter and leftist activist is due to hit the road this fall after the release of his upcoming box set The Roaring Forty, which will be released on October 27.
Starting in Brighton on November 14, Bragg’s 2023 tour will also include concerts in Portsmouth, Cambridge, Cork, Dublin, Belfast, Cardiff, Birmingham, Leeds, Edinburgh and Manchester during this month.
In December, the artist will travel to Gateshead, Nottingham and Bristol before ending his stay with a concert at The Roundhouse in Camden Town, London.
“It seems quite recently that I performed on Thursdays at Tunnel in Greenwich as an opening act for those who were headlining that night,” Bragg said in a statement. “I learned my skills there in late ’82— early ’83 and still use these lessons 40 years later.”
He added, “I hope to see some of you on the Roaring Forty tour this fall.”
Pleased to announce UK and IE dates for The Roaring Forty Tour.
