The latest episode of SNL goes viral online thanks to the impressive work of Aubrey Plaza hosting, where the actor recreates some of the most talked-about shows and films at the moment, including such as Avatar, M3gan and White Lotus.
Anticipating the success of her role in the second season of “White Lotus,” Aubrey Plaza stopped by SNL to host the most recent episode of the long-running comedy show. She began her appearance on the show using her opening monologue to recreate her humble beginnings as an NBC tour guide. The TikTok clip for the monologue has already gained 2.2 million views on TikTok, and this number only continues to grow.
From there, Plaza then took part in a series of sketches, all of which poked fun at some of the most viral moments and talked about pop culture moments of the time. Joining the cast of SNL, Plaza starred in sketches mocking the newest movie Avatar: The Way of Water, as well as the new horror film M3gan.
The latter of the two features Plaza as the main character in what they consider to be a sequel to a brand new movie.

However, the two sketches that seem to have attracted the most attention in TikTok are The Black Lotus, as well as a recreation of the Miss Universe 2023 video ad. The first of the two made fun of the excessive nature of the White Lotus and the fact that some of the characters introduced in the second season had very little common sense.
For Plaza, her role in the series was a breakthrough moment for the actress, strengthening her dramatic acting abilities, given that she is best known for her deadpan comedy.

In the Miss Universe 2023 sketch, Plaza plays a French contestant, imitating how she shouted out her country of origin almost the same way a real woman did. The fact that TikTok users commented on the Internet, as well as reacted to them.
One TikTok user commented, “FRANCE was so accurate,” while another noted that this sketch was “the first time I laughed out loud at SNL.” Thanks to her purposeful performance, another TikToker wrote that “Aubrey should host SNL every week.”

Both sketches have already gained more than 1.2 million views on the SNL page in TikTok, despite the fact that they were published just 11 hours ago. However, perhaps the biggest surprise of the evening was that Amy Poehler returned to SNL, reprising her role on Weekend Update as her iconic “Parks and Recreation” character Leslie Knope.

Considering how quickly fans have flocked to this latest batch of Aubrey Plaza content, it’s likely that these videos and sketches will attract even more attention in the coming days.
